1. Introduction

Welcome to VenuMark ("VenuMark," "we," "our," or "us"). VenuMark is the food vendor application platform built for Florida's event industry. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. If you have any questions or concerns about this notice or our practices, contact us at scott@venumark.com.

2. Information We Collect

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when you create a VenuMark account, set up a venue or vendor profile, post an event, submit an application, upload documents to your vault, or contact us.

  • Account information: Name, email address, password (hashed), role (venue or vendor), and the venue or vendor profile fields you fill in (business name, city, contact details, license numbers, cuisine, unit type, etc.).
  • Event & application data: Events you create, applications you submit or receive, application audit history, and any messages or notes attached to those records.
  • Document vault: Files you upload (Certificate of Insurance, DBPR MFDV License, FDACS Permit, Local Business Tax Receipt, Workers Compensation, Florida Sales Tax Certificate, Fire Safety, Liquor License, and any other documents you choose to attach to your profile).
  • Payment data: If you upgrade to a paid tier, our payment processor (Stripe) handles your card data directly. VenuMark stores only your Stripe customer ID, subscription ID, and billing status, never your card number.
  • Usage data: Standard server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) and product analytics events (which pages you visit, which buttons you click) so we can understand and improve the platform.

3. Public Data Sources (VMScore)

VenuMark's built-in compliance score (VMScore) is derived from public records maintained by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR). We synchronize that data weekly and present it inside VenuMark so venues see compliance signal at the moment they make a booking decision. We do not modify the underlying inspection results. Public DBPR data is presented as-is for informational and compliance purposes.

4. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your VenuMark account.
  • To deliver the platform features you use (post events, receive applications, manage your document vault, run reports).
  • To process subscriptions and bill paid tiers via Stripe.
  • To send transactional email (welcome, password reset, plan upgrades, payment failures, event-limit warnings) via Resend.
  • To respond when you contact us.
  • To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud and abuse on the platform.
  • To improve VenuMark and to understand how our customers use it (aggregated, non-identifying analytics).

5. Sharing Your Information

We share information only as needed to operate the platform:

  • Between VenuMark accounts: When a vendor applies to your event, you (the venue) see their profile, application answers, and attached documents. When a venue invites a vendor, the vendor sees the event and venue profile. This is the platform working as designed.
  • Service providers: Supabase (database + auth + storage), Stripe (subscription billing AND vendor deposit processing via Stripe Connect), Resend (email), Vercel (hosting), Google Analytics + Vercel Analytics + Microsoft Clarity (product analytics). Each is contractually limited to processing your data on VenuMark's behalf.
  • Stripe Connect (venues collecting deposits): When a venue opts into vendor deposits, that venue completes a Stripe Express onboarding flow. Stripe collects bank account info, business verification, and tax-reporting details (EIN or SSN, business address) directly from the venue. VenuMark never sees or stores this data. Stripe is the financial intermediary; VenuMark only sees the resulting Connect account ID and the high-level payout status (active / pending / restricted) needed to operate the deposit flow described in our Terms.
  • Stripe payment data (vendors paying deposits): When a vendor pays a slot deposit via Stripe Checkout, Stripe collects the card and billing details directly. VenuMark never receives full card numbers; we only see the metadata Stripe returns to our webhook (charge ID, deposit amount, payment status).
  • Legal: If required by law, court order, or to protect VenuMark's rights, property, or safety, or that of our users.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Your Rights

You can update your profile and document vault at any time from your dashboard. You can request export or deletion of your account data by emailing scott@venumark.com. We'll honor the request within 30 days.

7. Cookies & Tracking

We use a small number of cookies to keep you signed in (Supabase session cookies), to remember your role choice (venumark:home-role), to dismiss the bottom CTA bar (vm_pcta_dismissed), and to attribute analytics events. We do not use third-party advertising cookies and we do not track you across other sites.

8. Children

VenuMark is a B2B platform intended for adults operating venues, food vendor businesses, or related event-industry roles. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

9. Updates

We'll update this policy as the platform evolves. The "Last Updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated by email to active accounts.
